Joey Pierre, a broadcast journalist, loves exploring the world and creating audio stories exploring controversial issues and social injustices. He currently attends Old Westbury and works for Cablevision Systems Corporation as a Senior Sales Support Coordinator. As the News Director for Old Westbury Web Radio, Joey researched, and produced scripts and rundowns for live daily new broadcasts. He assigned stories and duties to the News Department staff and he produced, staffed and directed the News Department’s weekly news magazine show “In The Know.” He interviewed prominent people such as feminist Jamia Wilson and veteran journalist Les Payne. Joey is currently the President of Old Westbury’s circle of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society and has been on the Dean’s List every semester at Old Westbury.
